Contests

Who can enter: All Ultimate Lindy Hop Showdown contests are open to all ages, levels, and nations.
Music: All preliminaries & finals are danced to live music (with the exception of the endurance contest). All Showcase Performances, including Teams, must be done to a live band.
Showcase: All Music must first be approved. See Choreography page for info.
Rules: No rules. Just dance. Prelims are judged by special guests, finals are judged by audience for all contests except the choreography showcase of which will be judged by special guests.
Entry Fees: Each contest has its own entry fee. Contest fees must be paid for in full before his/her spot is approved in that contest. Unpaid contest registrations may result in an inability to compete. No refunds on entry fees. Only credits for other 2012 contests will be given.
Free Contests: The Endurance Contest and The Intergenerational  Swing Dance Contest are free to enter.
Additional Info: All competitors must purchase a full weekend ticket before signing up for contests.  For the Intergenerational Swing Dance Contest, only one person from each partnership needs be a full weekend ticket holder to sign up.
